Ephesians 4:4-5 Unity in the Body of Christ
There is one body and one Spirit,
just as you were called to one hope of your calling,
one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God of all,
who is above all and through all and in all.

Faith, Hope, Love

… And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love. !Corinthians 13
Faith as our steady trust in God, knowing God has a purpose and a plan.
Hope as our confidence in the future, allowing our vision to shape our actions.
Love as the extravagant, abundant grace of God and the sharing of love with our neighbor now.

Creating Sanctuary For All

Sanctuary will not be limited to a resting place, but a deepening place and a growing place. It is our vision that as GLBT people find safe places, a trust will develop so they can tell their stories and offer their gifts in ministry. It is our hope that these stories and gifts will cause congregations to open their eyes to a wider vision… a vision that will call for action in creating ever widening sanctuary.

Hearts on Fire!

We call upon the energy of the Holy Spirit as we endeavor to move as disciples into evangelism. Assured of our place in God’s family through our baptism, now we continue to grow in faith and to act in confidence as we proclaim the Gospel. We envision the United Methodist Church truly opening itself to the gifts and graces of the LGBT community.

Remember Your Baptism: Resources from the Watermarked campaign in 2004
Most Reconciling United Methodists were not in Pittsburgh for General Conference. This packet was created to encourage and equip local leaders to gather the church in their own neighborhoods with their own families of choice. RMN invited local RUM clusters to gather and celebrate that we all are Watermarked! RUMs met in Seattle and Houston, Oregon and Omaha, Chicago and Wichita.
