Lodging at the YMCA
Please Note: The YMCA requires that you complete Convo registration before booking your lodging with our special rates. You will be able to download a Lodging Reservation Form from the registration confirmation page. If you register with us by mail, we will send you the Lodging Reservation Form. The Lodging Registration Form must be mailed or faxed to the YMCA of the Rockies (they do not accept phone/email reservations for conferences).
Hotel-style housing at the YMCA of the Rockies is available for convocation participants in three different lodges–Long’s Peak, Eastside, and Mt. Ypsilon–within close proximity to the convocation meeting space (see 4 on map). The lodging rates are for either a three-night stay (September 4, 5, 6) or four nights (adding September 3) if you are coming early for a pre-convocation forum.
You have the option of choosing to room alone or share a room with up to five other persons–your cost varies accordingly. You can request a specific roommate(s) or the YMCA will match you with roommates based upon similar room-sharing requests.
Full meal service is included with the cost of lodging–beginning with dinner on the day of your arrival through lunch on your departure day–at the nearby Aspen Dining Hall. Full linen service is also provided, although the linens will not be changed during your stay.
If you are coming to the convocation with a group that would like to stay together in group accommodations, see Group Lodging Options below.
You must first register for the convocation before you can reserve your lodging at the YMCA. During the registration process, you will be able to download a form to reserve housing with the YMCA directly. You must mail or fax the form to the YMCA of the Rockies. A deposit payment of at least 35% of the lodging cost must accompany the reservation. Sales tax on lodging is 5.75%.
Lodging at the YMCA is not guaranteed after August 2, 2009. Lodging cancellations on or before August 3, 2009 receive 75% of deposit paid; cancellations after August 3 receive no refund.
You may extend your stay for vacation before and/or after the convocation at the RMN convo rates by calling YMCA Central Reservations (1-800-777-9622 X1010) after the YMCA of the Rockies have received your lodging reservation form with deposit.

Group Lodging Options
The YMCA of the Rockies has a number of cabins available for groups seeking accommodations together. Cabins are two-bedroom, three-bedroom, or four-bedroom, hold from four to ten persons and costs range from $119 to $364 per night. The location of the cabins varies from nearby convocation meeting space to up to two miles away.
Because the YMCA of the Rockies is a popular vacation destination and this is the Labor Day holiday weekend, availability of cabins is not guaranteed. Written requests for cabins at the YMCA of the Rockies are received beginning January 1 and are filled starting April 1 on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If you would like to receive a form to request a cabin at the YMCA, convo@rmnetwork.org or call 773-736-5526. Please include your mailing address in the email.
You can get information about many other group accommodation and vacation options in the Estes Park area at: http://www.estes-park.com or http://www.estespark-colorado.com/.
NOTE that persons staying in any group lodging, i.e., not staying at the YMCA lodges listed above, are not included in the full meal plan. However, such persons do have the option of eating and paying for individual meals with other convocation participants at the Aspen Dining Hall.
Convocation participants not staying in one of the YMCA lodges will pay a guest fee of $10 per day to be on the Y grounds and use the facilities. You can pay this at the registration desk in the Administration Building. You can also purchase meal tickets there for any meals you wish to eat at the Aspen Dining Hall with other convocation participants. Prices are: breakfast $6, lunch $9, and dinner $12.
Travel
Convocation participants arrange their own travel. The nearest airport is Denver International Airport, 75 miles from Estes Park. The Colorado Springs Airport is located 150 miles from Estes Park.
RMN has contracted with Best Ride Shuttle Service to transport persons between Denver International Airport and the YMCA of the Rockies at a special round-trip rate of $50 (including gratuity). You can reserve and pay for your shuttle directly with Best Ride Shuttle at: http://www.ridebestride.com/
When you complete their online reservation form, your Pickup Location will be the Denver International Airport and Dropoff Location is the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. Be sure to type in “RMN Convo” in the Special Instructions box at the bottom of the form to ensure that you are charged the special RMN convo rate.
Deadline for reserving the round-trip shuttle at this special rate is August 14, 2009.
NOTE that because the Denver International Airport is immense and the drive to Estes Park is through mountainous terrain, you should allow four hours or more between flight times and your arrival at or departure from the YMCA of the Rockies.
Those traveling to Denver by Amtrak can take the AF bus of the Denver RTD (Regional Transit District ) from Market Street Station at 16th and Market Streets (two blocks from Union Station) to the Denver International Airport for $10. The bus leaves hourly (schedule available at: http://www3.rtd-denver.com/schedules/getSchedule.action?routeType=9&routeId=AF) and the ride to the airport takes about an hour. Because RMN is receiving such a fine rate on the airport shuttle to Estes Park, this will likely be the least expensive way to travel. Make a reservation with Best Ride Shuttle for the trip from the airport to Estes Park as indicated above.
